Sean Tully is an artist and surfer based in Ventura, California. He graduated from CalArts with a BFA in 2010 and has been making work that blends bold color, abstraction, and bits of everyday coastal life ever since.

Before moving back to Ventura, Sean worked in Los Angeles as an assistant gallery director at New Image Art and spent years doing creative direction for restaurants, small brands, and other creative projects. He’s also a second-generation surfer who has traveled and surfed around the world and stayed connected to the surf community both locally and internationally.

Sean now teaches visual art full-time in Ventura Unified. When he’s not in the classroom, he’s painting, surfing, building new ideas, and hanging with his dog, Brix, around the Avenue in Ventura.
